Requirements

Before you begin, make sure you have:

  • A WhatsApp Business account
  • Access to Meta Business Suite
  • A verified phone number for WhatsApp Business
  • A Hyperleap account with an active chatbot

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Go to Channels Integration

From your chatbot editor, click "Integrate" in the header and select"Channels Integration" from the dropdown menu.

Step 2: Click Add New Channel

On the Communication Channels page, click the "+ Add New Channel" button.

Step 3: Select WhatsApp Business

From the channel options, select "WhatsApp Business".

Step 4: Start WhatsApp Connection

You'll see the WhatsApp connection introduction screen. Click "Connect" to start the Meta authentication flow.

Step 5: Complete Facebook Signup

A Meta popup will appear asking you to log in to your Facebook account. Sign in with the account that has access to your Meta Business Suite.

Step 6: Account Connected

Once authenticated, you'll see a confirmation that your account is connected to Hyperleap.

Step 7: Select Business Assets

Choose the WhatsApp Business account and assets you want to connect to Hyperleap.

Step 8: Add Phone Number

Add or select the phone number you want to use for your WhatsApp Business chatbot.

Step 9: Review Permissions

Review the permissions that Hyperleap requires to manage your WhatsApp Business messages, then click "Continue".

Step 10: Connection Success

You'll see a success message confirming that your WhatsApp Business account is now connected. Your chatbot is ready to receive and respond to WhatsApp messages.

Step 11: Assign a Chatbot

After your channel is connected, you need to assign a chatbot to handle incoming messages. On the Communication Channels page, click the settings (gear) icon on your newly connected channel card to open Channel Configuration.

In the configuration panel:

  1. Select a chatbot from the "Associate a Chatbot" dropdown and click "Associate"
  2. Enable Auto Responses to let the chatbot automatically respond to messages
  3. Click "Save Configuration" to apply

Tip:
WhatsApp conversations have a 24-hour messaging window. Users must initiate the conversation, and your chatbot can respond freely for 24 hours. After that, you need pre-approved message templates to re-engage the customer.
