Connecting your Instagram Business account to Hyperleap lets your AI chatbot automatically handle Direct Messages — answering questions, providing product information, and supporting customers instantly.

Requirements
Before you begin, make sure you have:
- An Instagram Business or Creator account
- A connected Facebook Page (Instagram Business accounts must be linked to a Facebook Page)
- Admin access to the connected Facebook Page
- A Hyperleap account with an active chatbot
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1: Go to Channels Integration
From your chatbot editor, click "Integrate" in the header and select"Channels Integration" from the dropdown menu.
Step 2: Click Add New Channel
On the Communication Channels page, click the "+ Add New Channel" button.
Step 3: Select Instagram Business
From the channel options, select "Instagram Business".
Step 4: Start Instagram Connection
You'll see the Instagram connection introduction screen. Click "Connect" to begin the authorization flow.
Step 5: Authorize Hyperleap
A Meta popup will appear asking you to authorize Hyperleap to access your Instagram account. Review the permissions and click "Allow".
Step 6: Grant Sharing Permission
Confirm the sharing permissions so Hyperleap can read and respond to your Instagram Direct Messages.
Step 7: Connection Success
You'll see a success message confirming that your Instagram Business account is now connected. Your chatbot is ready to receive and respond to Instagram Direct Messages.
Step 8: Assign a Chatbot
After your channel is connected, you need to assign a chatbot to handle incoming messages. On the Communication Channels page, click the settings (gear) icon on your newly connected channel card to open Channel Configuration.
In the configuration panel:
- Select a chatbot from the "Associate a Chatbot" dropdown and click "Associate"
- Enable Auto Responses to let the chatbot automatically respond to messages
- Click "Save Configuration" to apply
