- Missing quiet zone. The white margin around the code is part of the spec. Don't crop it or place graphics inside it — downloads here include it.
- Low contrast or inverted colors. Scanners expect dark modules on a light background. Light-on-dark, pastel inks, or busy background images break scans — that's why the color presets here are all dark.
- Stretched or blurry reproduction. Scaling a small PNG up for a poster blurs the modules. Use the SVG for anything printed.
- Glossy lamination + harsh lighting. Glare can defeat scanning; matte finishes are safer for storefront and table placements.
