Testing Your Chatbot

Preview and test your chatbot's behavior before going live. Catch issues early and ensure a great user experience.

Testing is a crucial step before publishing your chatbot. Hyperleap provides several ways to preview and test your chatbot's functionality.

Test Behaviour Button

The quickest way to test is using the "Test Behaviour" button in the chatbot editor. This opens a full preview where you can:

Complete Interface

See the chat as visitors will see it

Lead Form Flow

Test the entire form submission

AI Conversations

Have test conversations with your bot

Follow-up Suggestions

Test suggestions and commands

Styling & Branding

Check all visual elements

Tip:
Click "Restart Chat" in the preview to reset and test the lead form flow again.

Live Preview Panel

As you make changes in the Content, Behaviour, and Branding tabs, the live preview on the right side of the editor updates in real-time. Use this for quick visual checks without opening the full test mode.

Testing Checklist

Before publishing, verify the following:

  • All required fields are clearly marked
  • Field labels and placeholders make sense
  • Form submits successfully
  • Lead data appears in your dashboard

Conversation Flow

  • Greeting message is appropriate
  • AI responses are accurate and helpful
  • Follow-up suggestions appear (if enabled)
  • Navigation commands work correctly
  • The chatbot stays on topic and doesn't hallucinate
